Short answer: You use Daily Greens by mixing 1 scoop (8 grams) a day with 200 to 250 ml of water or juice, or by adding it to a smoothie. That is what the label says. Other handy ways are stirring a scoop into yoghurt or overnight oats, or taking a pre-measured scoop with you on the go. You choose the moment yourself: the label gives no fixed time, only 1 scoop a day.

At GOYU we sell Daily Greens, a greens powder with nine ingredients. What's in it and what a greens powder is exactly is explained in greens powder: what's in it and how do you use it? Here you get five practical ways to use Daily Greens, the best moment and tips to make it taste better.

How much Daily Greens per day?

Take 1 scoop of 8 grams a day. That is the daily dose on the label, and the product is suitable for daily use. A 240 gram bag therefore lasts 30 days.

One scoop contains 3.6 grams of fibre and 1.3 grams of protein, at 19 kcal. Daily Greens is high in fibre** and Daily Greens is high in protein**. The full nutrition facts per 100 grams and per scoop are in our article on greens powder.

5 ways to use Daily Greens

These are the ways on the label, plus a few ideas of our own. Always keep it to 1 scoop a day.

  1. With cold water in a bottle. Put 200 to 250 ml of cold water in a bottle with a cap, add Daily Greens and shake well. A glass drinking bottle with a wide opening works well, because it is also easy to clean.
  2. With juice. Mix the scoop into 200 to 250 ml of juice, for example orange or apple juice. The green taste is then less noticeable.
  3. In a smoothie. Add the scoop to your smoothie in the blender. A simple example: a banana, a handful of frozen fruit and 250 ml of (plant-based) milk. You will hardly taste the Daily Greens.
  4. In yoghurt or overnight oats. Stir the scoop into a bowl of yoghurt, quark or oats that you prepare the evening before. This is not on the label, but it is simply another way to eat the same daily dose.
  5. On the go. Take a pre-measured scoop with you in a small, dry, tightly closed container and only mix it when you drink it. That keeps the powder dry.

When do you take Daily Greens?

Whenever suits you best: the label gives no fixed time. Link it to a moment you already have, such as breakfast or lunch. That way you are less likely to forget it.

Daily Greens contains a lot of fibre. If you don't eat much fibre yet, drink enough water with it and build up gradually. Daily Greens contains no caffeine, so you can also take it later in the day.

Can you drink Daily Greens warm?

We don’t recommend it: the label only mentions water, juice and smoothies, not a hot preparation. Daily Greens tastes best cold and well shaken. If you want something warm and green, matcha is a better choice. Have a look at our matcha.

How do you make Daily Greens taste better?

Daily Greens tastes fresh and green, with a slightly tart note from lemon and baobab. It contains no flavourings or sweeteners. This is how to make it taste better:

  • Use ice-cold water or juice and shake well.
  • Use slightly less water for a stronger taste, or slightly more for a milder one, within 200 to 250 ml.
  • Mix it with orange juice or into a smoothie with banana.
  • Drink it straight away and shake again in between, because the fibre sinks to the bottom.

Can you combine Daily Greens with other supplements?

Yes, but count what is already in it. One 8 gram scoop contains about 2.1 grams of baobab, 1.8 grams of barley grass, 1.3 grams of moringa, 0.3 grams of spirulina and 0.3 grams of chlorella. The baobab is dried fruit pulp from the baobab tree; in the EU this has been an authorised novel food since 2008 (Decision 2008/575/EC). If you also take separate spirulina or chlorella, stick to the dose on the pack for each product. If you take medication or have a medical condition, consult your doctor first.

If you want something with matcha as well, look at the Functional Matcha Blend. That one does contain caffeine. The difference between the two is explained in Functional Matcha Blend: what's in it and how do you make it? You will find both products in our superblends.

What should you keep in mind?

A greens powder is an addition, not a replacement for vegetables. The Dutch Nutrition Centre (Voedingscentrum) advises adults to eat at least 250 grams of vegetables a day (Voedingscentrum, 2024). An 8 gram scoop is something different from a plate of vegetables.

  • Do not exceed the daily dose of 1 scoop.
  • Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition, as stated on the label.
  • Daily Greens contains 16% moringa leaf. According to the French government list Compl'Alim, moringa is not recommended for pregnant women and children (Compl'Alim, moringa).
  • Store the bag in a cool, dry place, tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Summary in 3 points

  • Take 1 scoop of Daily Greens (8 grams) a day with 200 to 250 ml of water or juice, or in a smoothie; a 240 gram bag lasts 30 days.
  • Other ways: in yoghurt or overnight oats, or pre-measured on the go. You choose the time yourself.
  • Daily Greens contains no caffeine, tastes best cold and well shaken and does not replace vegetables.

Frequently asked questions

Can you take Daily Greens every day?

Yes. According to the label, Daily Greens is suitable for daily use, with 1 scoop of 8 grams a day.

Can you prepare Daily Greens in advance?

You can, but the powder doesn't fully dissolve and sinks to the bottom. Shake it again before you drink it. We prefer to make it fresh.

Does Daily Greens need to go in the fridge?

No. Store the bag in a cool, dry place and tightly closed, as stated on the label. A cool cupboard is enough.

Can you mix Daily Greens with milk?

Yes, for example in a smoothie with (plant-based) milk. The label mentions water, juice and smoothies; milk in a smoothie fits with that.
