What is in this collection?
Herbal supplements are made from a specific part of a plant: the root, leaf, seed, resin or fruit. That part is dried and ground, or made into an extract. In this collection:
Powder or capsules?
Powder mixes into a smoothie, yoghurt or oats. That is handy if you want to choose the dose yourself, but you will taste it: maca is nutty and slightly sweet, moringa and ashwagandha are rather earthy. Capsules are tasteless and easy to take with you. An extract such as KSM-66 or curcumin 95% is more concentrated than ground root or leaf.
What should you look for in herbal supplements?
Natural does not automatically mean suitable for everyone. Some herbs can interact with medication. Do you take medication, or are you pregnant or breastfeeding? Then check with your doctor or pharmacist first. Stick to the dose on the packaging and do not take several products with the same herb at the same time.
